Company History: This line opened in 1965 between Arnaud Junction on the Quebec North Shore & Labrador and the St. Lawrence River port of Pointe-Noire, Quebec. Iron ore is loaded on Arnaud's sister railroad Wabush Lake Railway, handed off to the QNS&L, then to the Arnaud for dumping into ore boats at Pointe-Noire. Both the Chemin de Fer Arnaud and the Wabush Lake Railway are owned by Wabush Mining.
