Company History: This shortline was built in 1976 to connect a quarry and cement mill in the Dittenger - New Brawnfels, Texas area with the mainlines of Missouri Pacific and Missouri-Kansas-Texas just under 2 miles away. Over the years, WRRC operated with a total of four locomotives: two SW1’s, an SW7 and a GP9. Today, the company is owned by Mexican cement giant Cemex and an ES44AC lettered for Cemex can be found doing the switching.
