In creating the Rolex model database, we frequently ran across descriptions of watches featuring a 'jubilee' bracelet. So we decided to dig a little deeper to find out more about this common Rolex watch bracelet design.

The jubilee bracelet was specifically designed for the launch of the Datejust model in 1945. The first versions of this bracelet were solid gold. Later, in the 1950s, two-tone and all-stainless versions were introduced.

The jubilee style bracelet is easily spotted. It has five rows of links from side to side. The two outside links are slightly larger than the three inner links. The band will frequently demonstrate a two-tone effect with silver toned outer links with gold toned inner links.

Rolex bracelets are characterized by the patented Easylink system which allows the owner to easily extend the length of the bracelet to customize the watch for their wrist size. Modern jubilee bracelets feature either a concealed Crownclasp or an Oysterclasp.
