In its Summer 2019 All Scales Monthly Catalog, Atlas announced three more Walthers toolings that it will produce under its Atlas Master product line (In June 2018, Atlas purchased all Wm. K. Walthers n-scale locomotive and rolling stock tooling. This included former Life-Like toolings).
This is the sixth time since November 2018 that Atlas is announcing the re-run of former Walthers / Life-Like models. Some of these toolings haven't been run for decades-- excellent news for all N-scale modelers!
Previous announcements of Walthers toolings were in November 2018, December 2018, January 2019, February 2019 and March 2019.
Read this article for a full overview of Walthers toolings re-run by Atlas.
The following models have a Wednesday August 21th, 2019 pre-order deadline with no estimated release date indicated - let's assume Q4/2019 or Q1/2020.
Atlas Master® N NACC 50' Smoothside RBL Car
Road names for this release ($26.95) will include Delaware and Hudson, Ashley, Drew and Northern, Dakota, Minnesota and Eastern, Mountain Pine Lumber, QOCX (Quaker Oats), Sexton Foods and Whitehouse Applesauce, with 2 road numbers each, as well as an undecorated model.
Walthers introduced this model in the late 1980s or 1990s as "North American 50' Exterior Post (Insulated) Box Car". The tooling was fairly simple and typical of a 1st generation car but with 2nd generation printing. We'll have to have the new run from Atlas in hands to figure out if Atlas has modernized the model beyond replacing Rapido couplers by knuckle ones. We initially speculated that Atlas would not re-run this model due to the old design, but we are proven to have made a wrong assumption here; it remains however surprising that this model goes into the Master line, whereas older designs usually go into Atlas' Trainman line.

Atlas Master® N 53' 6" Flat Car
Road names for this release ($29.95) will include: Conrail, Illinois Central Gulf, Minneapolis & St. Louis, Rock Island, Southern Pacific and Union Pacific, with 2 road numbers each, as well as an undecorated model.
Walthers released initially this model with and without bulkheads, as GSC 54' Flat Car. Atlas already announced the re-run of this model in its Bulkhead version, as 48' GSI (General Steel Industries) Bulkhead Flat Car in January 2019. So this is the same model but without bulkheads. The total length of the car is 53-foot 6-inch (rounded up to 54' by Walthers). Note that GSC (General Steel Castings Corporation) is the former name of GSI (General Steel Industries).

Atlas Master® N Bay Window Caboose
Road names for this release ($34.95) will include Chicago & North Western, Conrail, Frisco, Kansas City Southern, Milwaukee Road, Rock Island and Union Pacific, with 2 road numbers each (3 for UP). No undecorated model is offered.
Walthers introduced this model in the late 1990s. There were three versions: a) tall bay with three windows, b) tall bay with four windows, and c) short bay. Atlas is announcing 3 different bay window styles, but the anouncement is merely showing only 2. So let's see what we have when the models in hands.
