Transportation Company - Georgia & Florida (2005) - Railroad

Company History: This Georgia & Florida Railway was born in 2005 when the OmniTRAX shortline group bought the Georgia & Florida RailNet from the North American RailNet shortline group. The route structure remains the same with the exception of the Willacoochee to Valdosta route which is no longer served by the G&F Rwy. Traffic includes aggregates, agricultural commodities, beer, ethanol, limestone and wood pulp. Like their predecessor, they continue to use GFRR as their official reporting marks. As of this writing, only one unit #500 wears the official GFRR paint scheme of black and gray with white stripes. The rest of the fleet is variously patched.
