Transportation Company - Central Indiana & Western - Railroad

Company History: The CEIW launched in 1986 as a spin-off from Conrail. They operate a 10 mile segment of former Central Indiana Railroad (a joint subsidiary of PRR and NYC) from Lapel to South Anderson, Indiana. In addition to the grain traffic you would expect from this part of Indiana, CEIW also moves sand, cullet and soda ash for the glass industry.
Brief History:
The U.S. is a country of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean. Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
