Company History: This line was established in 1935 to operate the remaining 7 miles of a sprawling lumber line, the Boyne City Southeastern, after the last of the timber had been cut. BCRR ran from Boyne City to Boyne Falls in northern Michigan. In 1976, the last of the freight traffic faded away but the line struggled on as a tourist carrier for another two years under the name Boyne Valley Railroad. The line was formally abandoned in 1982.
