Notes: Usually seen in Stainless Steel cases. It was often used as a 'presentation watch' for various companies and/or organizations to members. More than any other Rolex, this watch seems to get identified with the wrong movement. This is clearly a manual-wind watch as it is denoted 'Oyster' rather than 'Oyster Perpetual', yet everyone seems to think ti uses as 1225 calibre movement which is wrong because the 1225 is self-winding ans has a date feature. This watch has no date. It is most definitely a entry-level rolex due to the smplicity of the movement (manual, no-date) and the stainless steel case.

If you're in the market for an introductory vintage Rolex watch, then the Oyster Perpetual Precision reference 6426 is a perfect choice. Constructed out of stainless steel, the Oyster Perpetual price is highly obtainable for beginner and seasoned Rolex collectors alike. A 34mm Oyster case is outfitted with a smooth bezel, waterproof screw-down crown, stainless steel, and a black dial set with baton hour markers and central sweeping hands. Notoriously waterproof, the Oyster case was once capable of withstanding depths of up to 100 meters when this reference first came to market in the 1960's. This mens dress watch is full of vintage character with a manual winding 17-jewel movement and slight discoloration on the dial. An instant conversation starter, you will be proud to display this men's Rolex dress watch on your wrist.
Mechanism:
This calibre dates from the mid 1950s. The calibre 1210 was one of the many derivations of the old Hunter 10½ movement, which dated back to the 1920s. The 1210 was one of the last of these manual wind movements, unlike the original 10½ movement it features shock protection on the balance & escape pivots. These movements usually feature 17 jewels, and were used in the 3038 series of 'Pre-Cellini' watches.

The 1210 is the sister to the 1215, with the primary difference being that the 1215 has a date feature where the 1210 does not.
