Notes: Oyster Perpetual Ref:6719, Case No.630****, Movement No.933***, 28-jewel Cal.2030 automatic movement adjusted to temperature and 5 positions. Comes in a variety of configurations such as yellow gold, two tone and diamonds.
Mechanism:
The 2030 was produced for 13 years, from 1970 to 1983. The 2030 is the no-date version. Its sister is the 2035 which has a date function. It is a 28-jewel self-winding movements, they borrowed many of the technical enhancements first seen in the all-conquering 1500 series. In addition, they released them at the end of the fifties. This proved to be very reliable in some of the most popular watches in the women’s collection.
Family Notes: In 1926, Hans Wilsdorf introduced the Oyster watch which used a waterproof case, hence the name. He added "Perpetual" to the name when in 1933 he introduced a reliable automatic self-winding watch. Hence the name means "Waterproof, Self-Winding" in Rolex-speak and generally means the watch is water resistant to a depth of 100 meters.
