Company History: Professional Lease Management International ("PLM") is founded as a Lessor and manager of railcar investments. From 1972 through 1996 it raises over $1.7 billion of equity for investment in railcars, aircraft, marine containers, shipping vessels, and refrigerated trailers.
The CIT Group acquired PLM railcar services in January of 2006. In recent years, covered hoppers have been added under the CITX reporting mark.
