Transportation Company - New Mexico Rail Runner Express - Railroad

Company History: Part of the New Mexico Department of Transit (NMDOT). NMRX opened in 2006 providing commuter train service from Belen north to Albuquerque and on to Bernalillo, New Mexico on a line purchased from BNSF. The line was extended north to Santa Fe in 2008. While Santa Fe Southern provides tourist and freight service on their former AT&SF line from Lamy to Santa Fe, the route is riddled with slow orders. NMRX opted to build their own line from a junction at CP Madrid. It rejoins the SFS at CP Hondo in the city of Santa Fe. The NMRX fleet includes nine MP36PH-3C diesels and 22 coaches, nine of which are equipped with cabs for push-pull service.
Brief History:

Major Atlantic Coast cities are New York, a global finance and culture center, and capital Washington, DC. Midwestern metropolis Chicago is known for influential architecture and on the west coast, Los Angeles' Hollywood is famed for filmmaking.
