Company History: The PN runs in the area north of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Starting in the Bala Cynwyd area, the line runs northwest to Lansdale then northeast to Doylestown. There is also a branch to Warminster. In total, they operate just over a hundred miles of track. Traffic includes aggregates, alcoholic beverages, animal feed, building materials, chemicals, frozen food, lumber, metals, paper, petroleum, and plastics. The operation was launched in 2011. The track is owned by SEPTA.

At latest check, the PN diesel fleet included: two SD40-2W’s, one SD40-e, a GP9R, two C29-8’s and an SD60. Take note of rebuilt GP9 number 7010, a former Canadian National unit. Despite its lowered short hood, it is still a long-hood-forward unit
